COLD WATER CAME BACK AT 11:25 SUNDAY 21 NOV.
And once again... today Saturday November 20th 2010 at around 4 p.m. the water in the building just vanished. Was Harry Potter in town promoting his new movie which coincidentally started to appear today in cinemas? Nope, not likely. But at this writing (6 p.m.) there is still no water and so there will also be no supper. The only positive thing about this is that I won't have to do the dishes.
I guess the Marina Center is participating in an economic program to support our local restaurants. Just remember to keep your receipts so you can claim it back from building management from your next rent check.
But seriously, this is a regular occurrence and is very inconveniencing especially on weekends. In the past notice has occasionally been given by posting a written paper at the elevators either the day of the water shutdown or maybe a day before. Short notice maybe, but at least we got notice.
7:30 still no water!
ReplyDelete8:30 still no water. No toilet water, no kitchen water... no water, period. MAJOR problem!
ReplyDeleteCan not believe it no more water again !!!! No Notice......Very unhealthy not even being able to flush the toilets..... Unbelievable !!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThey're claiming the water pump broke and they are going to get a new one today (Sunday). I didn't realize water wasn't a necessity and that 24hr plumbers seize to exist.
ReplyDeleteSince when was it living up to your lease agreement on keeping the dwellings habitable for their tenants.
What if there was a fire?
ReplyDeleteIt's like living in a third wold country, where you have to collect your water from an outsource. Once again, thanks a lot Marina Center for your stellar quality of living.
ReplyDeleteYou can claim alot more for this terrible inconvenience. You do not need receipts for inconveniences. I am charging $100.00 per day. Not having an emergency plumber is no excuse for big builidng like this. Therefor, I urge all the tenants to make notes of the dates when there is no water, elevators not working and maintenance services such as the grass and the leaves not cleaned up and charged them. YOU MUST SEND THEM A REGISTERED LETTER OF INTENT THAT YOU WILL BE CHARGING THEM FOR THE INCONVENIENCE AND DEDUCTING IT OFF YOUR RENT. If Zeva threatens to take you to court, so be it, because we will go as a group on this one. But let us be organized with our notes.
ReplyDeleteAlso, wanted to mention that for those with babies, elderly and the sick, please be advised that they are reasponsible to pay for your hotel. This goes for anyone, really.
ReplyDeleteKeep all your receipts for water bottles and restaurant etc. You will be able to deduct it from your next rent.
ReplyDelete11h22 Sunday November 21st 2010, water just came back.
ReplyDeletewrong! only cold. no hot
ReplyDeleteWill there be any hot water today just would like to know ??????
ReplyDeleteIn all fairness to the janitors... considering that this was unforeseeable, meaning that sometimes things like this happen and assuming that the equipment was properly maintained, then getting the water back on-line in less than 24 hours was actually pretty good. Our thanks.
ReplyDeleteActually 24 hours was way too long. And furthermore, the water is shut off way too often. The whole system has to be changed, and the janitors are paid to do the work, that is why we pay our rent and that is why Enzo Barrasso, is making alot of money on this building. ANNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDD we still do not have hot water. This has been posted @ 8:33pm. The time the postings are shown is wrong.
ReplyDeleteWill HOT WATER be fixed today????????
ReplyDeleteSpoke with the Regie de Logement, and they advised me that you cannot immediately deduct from your rent, for the inconveniences of no water and other services. You can only deduct from your rent if you had called the plumber yourself and paid for it yourself. However, the procedure to get compenstation, simply, is to send a registered letter that you are charging them for the inconvenience and that you are giving them 7 days to compensate you or legal recourse will follow. You can try to work it out with Zeva, but when it comes to compensation, they are too cheap.
ReplyDeleteAre there still water problems?
ReplyDeleteTks
